Whats In my Beauty Bag / What I wish was in my Beauty Bag

Hello Everyone!

So I was recently contacted by Farfetch to enter a blogger competition. As part of this I have been asked to show you guys whats in my make up bag plus what is on my wish list.

Now I personally feel that a girls beauty bag can be a challenge! I mean for a beauty lover like myself it is quite difficult to take a stack of products and fit them all into a little cosmetic bag. I chose to focus on a couple of my most reached for products, here are the ones I am currently using on a day to day basis.

FACE:-
Foundation, Concealer, Contour... you know where this is going. Face make up applied correctly can make you look like an absolute 10 in minutes!

EYES:-
My eye make up purely depends on my mood so I have products to suit the various occasions. Some days I choose to wear eyeliner, eyeshadow you know the whole works! But other days it can simply just be mascara. Always ALWAYS have good eyebrows... They are everything!

LIPS:-
Due to the current weather conditions these are my handy little lip products. I choose to keep it quite neutral because who doesn't love pinky nude simple lips?

PS Lip Liner - Loreal Paris Infallible 2 in 1 Lip Colour

A girl can never have to many beauty products and after looking through the Farfetch I found myself browsing through their newly launched beauty selection in collaboration with Space NK.

There are seriously so many new products to choose from, the website certainly does offer an amazing online experience. I just wanted to put everything in my basket but after taking my time admiring all the products I narrowed down to a few favourites and got straight to writing my wish list!

1. Cellularose Hydradiance Eye Contour By Terry - I have seriously dark circles under my eyes, Its not good and I'm not happy with them AT ALL. But hey ho I will continue to look for further solutions! This product looks so suitable for me I especially love the metal application tip a very nice touch!

2. C+c Vitamin Cream by Natura Bisse - Dry skin is another problem for me, This results in make up fading off my face and patchy make up does not look good! Due to the extraordinary amounts of vitamin C within this product I imagine this cream would leave my skin feeling moisturised and looking radiant as well as treating my problematic skin.

3. R & Co Dallas Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner My hair is superrrr thin! It would be such a gift to have natural big thick hair but unfortunately that is not the case. I need a product that can nourish my hair, bringing it to a better condition. This is targeted to treat thin hair and make it appear thicker so I can't argue with that!

4. Hourglass The Modernist Eyeshadow Palette in Obscure First of all how stunning is this eyeshadow palette from Hourglass! I adore brown and gold tones on my eyelids when it comes to a night out. This is literally like a dream for me! I love every colour and the packaging is lovely. I have to try this!

So what do you think guys? What would your wish list be like from the beauty section of Farfetch.com?

The Body Shop Haul

Hello everyone!

So I went on a little trip to London and whilst waiting for my train home from Euston I thought it would be a good idea to have a little splurge in The Body Shop.

Sounds shocking but I never buy anything from The Body Shop this was basically my first time having a proper look at the products. The reason I decided to do this is because the night before my friend recommended Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter. I was complaining about never feeling like my face was completely clear before bed so she let me use some of hers. Wow! I fell in love right away it really is so good! My face felt so clean and fresh afterwards! Beth definitely has good taste! I highly recommend you can check out her blog littleonee2912.

Now I am an absolute sucker for a bargain and when I see a 3 for 2 sign I cant just walk away! There was basically a little pick and mix section were I decided to go for grapefruit hand sanitiser (another suggestion from Beth), hand lotion and lip balm. Just want to point out how well the lip balm has worked for me, I didn't have any high expectations but I have been really surprised! My lips have remained smooth despite the cold dry weather.

So anyway this was a quick look at everything I got. I am still using the products and deciding what I think of them, let me know if you would like to see a full review!

What is your favourite product from The Body Shop?

A new reason to love H&M

Hi everyone!

During my fashion internship I have been recently looking up recent events so I thought I would give you all a little intake on one that stood out to me as something I plan on trying out!

H&M are non stop with an empire of womenswear, mens and kidswear and those oh so spectacular designer collaborations. Now to make things more interesting a 700-piece beauty collection!

Stepping out of their comfort zone H&M have gone all out to create a new line of products including makeup, body care, hair and even styling tools. You name it H&M are soon to have it as of October.

The range includes so many different colours and textures, the looks you could create are endless. Anything from your natural everyday look to a dramatic smoky eye and bold lip.

Hundreds of eyeshadows, lipsticks, nail polish’s and so on are soon to be available in stores and online. The brand have also made their products suitable for every skin tone by developing 20 different shades of foundation.

The company also plan on releasing a premium body care and conscious line of eco-friendly products later into the year.

We have high expectations for the new launch such as high end beauty for the high street price. High pigmented eyeshadows with no fall out and long lasting are key. The exterior of the products alone is stunning so it is unlikely you will be disappointed.

Does Protein Worlds Slender Blend actually work?

Hello everyone!

I'm sure most of you social media addicts have already came across Protein World Slender Blend. Celebrities are raving about it all over their Twitter and Instagram pages but is it really worth the hype?

As my holiday to Ibiza was quickly approaching I thought I might as well find out for myself. I ordered Slender Blend in Vanilla flavour, although I am a chocolate addict I thought the vanilla would mix better most things. Also I had heard it tasted similar to vanilla ice cream which was a bonus!

I was really happy with the delivery and packaging. Arrived early the next day with everything neatly packed in a box. How lovely is the personalised card!?

The general idea is you use this as a meal replacement twice a day the have one proper meal. It is ridiculously hard to keep up with this as sometimes circumstances do not allow you to do so I didn't stick to this 100 percent. I was still eating healthy with the occasional snack and I found that this still worked well for me.

The overall taste is sweet, not a problem for me because I have a sweet tooth but other might find this over powering. I would mix 4 scoops of protein powder with water or make myself a smoothie. My smoothies mainly consisted of either strawberry or raspberry as they would create my favourite flavours. Protein World also provides you with recipes you can try, I once tried protein pancakes...
not bad!

Know for the main question, Does it work? From my experience it worked for me. Obviously the key to any weight loss is a healthy balanced diet. I am by no means a health freak but I still try to eat everything in moderation and whilst using Slender Blend I was more careful about my food choices. Another bonus is the shakes would make me feel full because of the protein. Because of this it felt easier when trying to cut down a bit on unhealthy foods.

Have you ever tried Protein World products?

Dior Make up Collection

Hi everyone!

A few weeks ago I visited Debenhams to search for a new "going out" foundation, basically something that I could wear for a special occasion or a long night out that would stay on my face.

I was attracted to the Dior counter, I had never purchased any Dior cosmetics before so I was interested to try something new. Anyway a foundation soon turned into a massive Dior Splurge!

After using all of the products a couple of times I can now let you all know briefly what I think of them.

Dior STAR Foundation - This foundation has hollow silica beads which basically means when taking a picture with flash you will not get that harsh white bright face we all know about. I found this to be true, my skin did look nice on pictures and I did not have a white face and brown body. The coverage  you get of this foundation is also really good with an easy option to apply lightly or to build it up. For me this is a really good option as a going out foundation, purely because it stays on and looks good in pictures. The only downfall which I personally don't like is that it has a fragrance which I can smell really strongly when applying to my face. But other people may this I just personally don't.

Dior STAR Concealer - So I thought I should try out the matching concealer to my foundation. Again this concealer is made to make you look good in pictures and I can agree that it does. I found this to be a face brightening concealer more then anything it makes you look brighter and more awake. My only problem with this concealer is I have dark circles under my eyes and they are not completely covered with this concealer alone.

Dior ADDICT Lip Maximiser - The thing everyone seems to want lately is big lips! and for someone with small lips like me its not always that simple to achieve. This works to plump your lips, slightly not drastically but still looks so effective. It also has like a cool tingly feeling on your lips, not to over powering and I actually like how it feels. This is such a sheer light pink colour that it almost looks clear so I apply this over any colour lipstick and can achieve the same effect. For a more natural look it also looks nice applied on its own. It provides so much moisture and I just love it! This is definitely one of my favourite products at the minute.

Dior Rosy Glow Blush - This is supposed to be a blush that changes to suit every individuals complexion. When you first apply it always apply lightly because the colour develops from a light natural colour into a rosy blush. This blush is lovely and really gives off a natural healthy look but I must admit I feel hesitant to apply because I know the colour is going to change. I don't want to walk out for the colour to change and be to much. I am always super careful when trying to get it just right so less is more with this blush I would say.

Dior VERNIS Couture and VERNIS top coat nail lacquer - I got this as a free gift after my purchases. I love how easy this is to apply, I love how it looks at first really looks like a shellac manicure. Sadly it chipped really quickly seriously within the first day It was chipped and I was careful so for such an expensive nail polish I wouldn't expect that. Like I said lovely at first but I would never want to go out and spend £18.50 for the full size after the results.

I was invited back to visit the Dior counter at Debenhams for a free mini makeover and to receive a gift. So a few days ago I went back in for a lovely makeover where I learnt some tips and tricks when it comes to applying my foundation and contouring. My make up artist used a sponge on my face called Backstage Blender (similar to beauty blender) to apply my Dior STAR foundation. I found that this blender worked perfectly! So I couldn't help but purchase one! They cost £12 and to wash all you have to do is put it into the washing machine!

The Free gifts I received were:-

Dior Show Mascara
Dior Prestige Serum
Dior Prestige Satin Revitalising Creme
Dior Satin Revitalising Eye Creme
Sample Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet

Yet to try any of these but what a lovely gift to recieve!

Over all I am a big fan of Dior Products. I really want to try out some more but after my splurge I am going to need to save up before I can.. Oops!

Have you ever used these products before?

What is your favourite Dior product?

Thanks again for reading!

NAKED on the Run

Hello everyone!

So I am going on holiday soon but I really need to pack lightly! I wanted to try out a few different make up options so I could decide what to take with me. After routing threw my make up drew I found Urban Decay NAKED on the Run Pallet. I don't know how I managed to forget I had this!

As you can see straight away the packaging is absolutely beautiful! The pallet has a really strong plastic box with rose gold detail around the sides. If you have read my Rose Gold Wishlist you will understand how much I love all things Rose Gold.

When I opened the pallet the first thing I noticed was the HUGE mirror. You can also stand the mirror up and it will not move out of place this makes it perfect for clearly applying all the products and ideal for traveling.

Now for the products... for anyone familiar with Urban Decay you must know that the brand does not disappoint especially when it comes to presentation. Inside the pallet you get mascara, eyeliner, lipgloss, eyeshadows, bronzer, blush and highlighter all put nicely together.

There are 5 eyeshadows that all have different finishes to them, some creating a metallic/shimmer effect and others matte. We all know Urban Decay have AMAZING eyeshadows because of the huge success of the Naked pallets. They are really pigmented, do not have bad fall out, do not crease and paired with eyeshadow primer they last all day! I cannot complain when it comes to using these eyeshadows.

When it comes to bronzer and blusher they are super pigmented! Orange toned bronzer and hot pink blush do not mix but I have found just applying a small amount can look nice. The actually application of the product is easy and smooth. Overall I would of preferred different colours as it does seem like more of an effort being super careful not to apply to much.

The highlighter is a beautiful shade that works well to highlight every part of your face from your brow bone to cheek bone. It completes the look and adds a really nice finish.

You also get a mini version of perversion mascara, when I say mini its not really that small its just skinnier and a little shorter then the original. The applicator brush is the exact same so overall you will achieve the same effect. Not going to lie I am not a huge fan, its not a bad mascara but I just don't think it gives my eyelashes much curl and volume compared to others.

The 24/7 Glide on pencil comes in a deep brown colour that looks almost black. I don't usually use pencil eyeliner but I enjoyed using this one there is kind of a soft feel to it compared to others and I found it was easy to apply.

Onto lipgloss... again the packaging to Naked lipgloss is beautiful! The lipgloss is very sheer so it works well complimenting lipstick or if you wanted a more simple look you could even use this alone. Be aware the texture is really thick and gooey which may not suit to some people, at first I was not fussed but now I have grown to like it more and more.

_______________________

I am not 100% sure if I am going to be taking this with me. I do think it is great for travelling I'm just really undecided on what to choose and as you can see I have mixed feelings. I plan on uploading a blog post on what I take with me so keep checking back if you would like to see.

Any make up suggestions for my holiday?

Have you ever used NAKED on the Run?

Thank you for reading

A kick start for a Healthy Lifestyle

Recently I have chosen to stop being as lazy and start a new healthier lifestyle.
I used to dance all the time but since starting uni and having a part time job it was hard balancing everything. Anyway I decided its time I started concentrating on involving fitness and healthy eating  within my daily routine.

Whilst searching online I decided to have a look at Holland and Barrett.
There was a penny sale on so basically I bought one product and got the other one for a penny. So worth it! The penny sale is still on at the moment so if you go to their website you can have a look at all the differant items available. I purchased these products for a kick start because I have heard a lot of great things about them.

Most people have heard about green tea and all the benefits you gain from drinking it. Shocking to some I don't drink tea, most of my friends constantly drink tea but the only time I've ever had tea is if I'm dipping biscuits in it. Not saying I would never try green tea, I might  really like it but when I noticed the Super green tea tablets I thought they where deffinetly worth a try.

Along with healthy eating and exercise these tablets work perfectly! I drink a full glass of water twice a day for best results! I believe that they really give me a boost without needing to drink a lot of tea like I know most people do. So if you want to try green tea but don't like how it tastes then you should definitely give this a try.

I chose to purchase Aloe Vera Juice in the flavour cranberry. I love cranberry juice so I was instantly attracted. You can buy an unflavoured version but I personally prefer this. I have been drinking Aloe Vera juice for just over a month and I have noticed such a difference! I feel better in myself, I have more energy and my hair and skin probably looks the so healthy! This is something I will be purchasing again!

You can choose to either mix a table spoon with a glass of water or just have a spoon full alone, it is recommended to do this 1-3 times a day.

One of the reasons I get excited to go the gym is because I can wear my Nike Roshe trainers. That might sound stupid but they are new and I love new shoes! Plus they are so comfortable and I feel like I am making use out of them by wearing them for the gym. I chose to go with black, just a small hint of grey because they looked a little different. They go with everything! So whatever I wear for the gym I know I can slip these on and they will always look good!

The Liebster Award

I am so happy and honoured that I have been nominated for The Liebster award, I would like to say a huge thank you to the lovely Gadzotica Beauty Blog for nominating me. Be sure to check out her blog!
The Liebster award is designed for new and upcoming bloggers who have under 200 followers. It is such a great way to help us new blogs grow and discover other blogs.

Rules:
1. Thank and link the person who nominated you.
2. Answer the nominators 11 questions.
3.Nominate 11 small blogs who have less than 200 followers. You should believe that they deserve this award and include their link in your post.
4. Create 11 new questions for your nominees to answer. Notify these nominees via social media/blog.

Why did you start a blog?
I have wanted to start a blog for years now after reading so many. Now that I am at university on a Fashion course I am constantly learning new skills and discovering new interests.  So I decided it is about time I started writing about the them!

What does your family think about your blogging?
They are really supportive! They have always told me I should start a blog if it’s what I am interested in and now that I have they are happy for me.
Who, what, and/or where does your blogging inspiration come from?
Honestly… everything. Their isn’t really one specific thing, I could be on the bus and an idea would pop into my head about what would be a good idea for a blog post. I find other blogs and social networking such as Twitter and Instagram also to be really helpful when it comes to triggering some inspiration.
What are you doing when not blogging?
At the minute University work and a lot of it! I also have a part time job as a sales assistant so I am either in Uni or working. Once I finish University for summer my plans are for me to be spending time with family and friends, blogging and working.
 Who is your favourite Youtuber?
This is an obvious one but its true it would have to be Zoella. She is the first person I watched on Youtube years ago, I actually wanted to go and watch all of her videos because I found them all to be so good! Watching Zoella’s videos led me to discovering other Youtubers that I also enjoy but her channel is my favorite.
What is your biggest dream?
I want to be successful doing a job I enjoy, I don’t want to dread Monday morning I want to look forward to it. If I had a job where I could travel the world, have plently of time to spend with family and friends and enjoy every minute then that would be a dream for me.
What is your weakness and how the way you handle it?
I get stressed out easily. I am either completely stressed out about something or really laid back about it there is no in-between. When I do stress I get anxiety but I deal with this by taking my mind of things that are worrying me.
What is your favorite color?
I can’t choose just one! Erm… I really like Turquoise/Aqua blue and purples!
Which makeup style do you prefer, Korean or Western? What is your reason?
I had to look on Pinterest images to understand the Western make up look (correct me if I got this style wrong) haha… I think Korean style of make up is a pretty natural look for daytime but from the images I found I prefer Western. I love the gold and brown smoky eyes for a night out!
 10. What are your holy grail makeup and skincare product? Why do you love them?
Bobbi brown corrector is a life saver for me and anyone else who suffers from dark under eye cycles. You just apply a small amount under concealer and it helps so much to camouflage the dark areas. Skin care for me changes all the time but at the minute I am currently loving the Yes to Cucumbers Cleanser you can check out my blog about it here.
 11. What is your fashion style?
It depends what mood I am in but the majority of time I like to look classy. Im always adding bracelets and necklaces to my outfits just to make them look that little bit more dressed up.

I would now like to nominate:

And my questions are:

What made you want to start a blog?
If you could only have 2 beauty products for the rest of your life what would they be?
Would you ever want blogging to be your job or do you see it more as a hobby?
What is your favorite quote and for what reason?
What makes you happy?
What is your favorite fashion store?
Where is your favorite place to go on holiday?
If you could live in any city in the world where would you choose?
How would you describe your style?
What is your favorite film/TV Series?
Where is your favourite place to go out to eat?
Ide love to see all your answers! Comment below if you have ever done Liebster award and I will check out your blog to have a look!

Little 3 for 2 Trip to Boots

Hello everyone!

Just a quick post this morning about my little trip to boots yesterday. For those of you who are unfamiliar boots is a really popular drug store here in England. The majority of make up, skin care and hair care essentials can be found in boots and that is why I love it so much!

So here is everything I picked up during my little shopping trip. Boots had a 3 for 2 offer on yesterday and as many of you probably know this is like a dream for a beauty blogger! With so much to choose from it was hard to only pick up a few items, but well here they are! Also a quick mention how cute does the Venus snap razor look! So small, perfect for travelling. I can't wait to try it out! It is currently now on offer for £4.99 rather then £9.99 so go and get yourself one girls!

I have been wanting to try out some Soap & Glory make up products for some time now as the only product I previously owned is a Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Shine Lacquer which is lovely by the way! I am SO happy to finally get my hands on Lid Stuff! I have heard so many good things about it and have been wanting to try it for so long now. I purchased the What's Nude palette because I just think it will work perfect for my everyday look. It was also the last one in store, so it was just meant to be! I can't wait to try out all of these products and look forward to writing reviews on what I think of them in my upcoming blog posts!

Barry M Spring shades nail varnish collection

Hello everyone!

So seeing as we are officially in Spring (although the British weather does not seem to agree... Freezing!) I thought it would be a great idea to have a look into my nail varnish collection and search for the perfect Spring shades.

I realised I have Sooo... many of the Barry M nail paints. I think this is because they are such good value for money selling at around £3.99 each, I believe they are just as good if not better then some of the more expensive nail paints out there. Barry M also sell such a wide variety of colours if you are searching for a pink nail varnish define pink! Barry M must have about a dozen maybe even more different shades of pink so it is hard not to want to collect and try them all.
I find Barry M nail paints to be kind off a hit-and-miss sometimes, the majority of the time the formulas are very easy to apply and have a professional finish, my friends have sometimes mistaken my nail varnish for shellac because it looks so nice. Unfortunately I have purchased a few that have been gooey and not as easy to apply I find that this is mostly in the darker shades within the gelly nail paint range. Overall I do love Barry M nail paints and I find all the colours listed in this blog post to be easy to apply and they all have a lovely finish to them! :)

Please excuse my awkward hands and nail painting skills sorryyyy... Here I have chosen a mixture of the Barry M Gelly Hi-shine nail paint and Barry M silk nail paint.

If you are a lover of the Barry M nail paints like me then the Gelly high shine nail paints are an absolute must! The polish's claim to give you an "extra glossy finish" and I 100% agree that they do just that. I have had so many compliments from wearing these nail polish's they really do make my nails look like they have been done in a salon! The pastels in particular apply easily to my nails with absolutely no streaks! They are also so pigmented! I prefer to coat my nails twice with the polish however you could defiantly achieve a professional look with just one coat!

The Barry M silk nail paint also gives a lovely effect with a soft matte finish but still a lovely slight shimmer. Contrasting to the gelly nail paint the formula seems to be quite thin so I would recommend  building up coats until achieving the perfect look. The quality of these nail polish's is amazing and although giving off a slight frosty finish I believe these colours would look so nice during the spring.

Although it was a tough decision to choose a favourite the Barry M Gelly nail paint in Dragon Fruit has to be the winner for me. Its just such a lovely shade of pink for the Spring not to light and not to dark just the perfect in between shade. The narrow dense brush just made the nail paint super easy to apply and the finish is just so pretty and shiny. I used two coats to achieve this colour but if you was going for a lighter colour one coat would do the trick!

For the best results don't forget to use a Top and Base coat!
