Whats In my Beauty Bag / What I wish was in my Beauty Bag

Hello Everyone!

So I was recently contacted by Farfetch to enter a blogger competition. As part of this I have been asked to show you guys whats in my make up bag plus what is on my wish list.

Now I personally feel that a girls beauty bag can be a challenge! I mean for a beauty lover like myself it is quite difficult to take a stack of products and fit them all into a little cosmetic bag. I chose to focus on a couple of my most reached for products, here are the ones I am currently using on a day to day basis.

FACE:-
Foundation, Concealer, Contour... you know where this is going. Face make up applied correctly can make you look like an absolute 10 in minutes!

EYES:-
My eye make up purely depends on my mood so I have products to suit the various occasions. Some days I choose to wear eyeliner, eyeshadow you know the whole works! But other days it can simply just be mascara. Always ALWAYS have good eyebrows... They are everything!

LIPS:-
Due to the current weather conditions these are my handy little lip products. I choose to keep it quite neutral because who doesn't love pinky nude simple lips?

PS Lip Liner - Loreal Paris Infallible 2 in 1 Lip Colour

A girl can never have to many beauty products and after looking through the Farfetch I found myself browsing through their newly launched beauty selection in collaboration with Space NK.

There are seriously so many new products to choose from, the website certainly does offer an amazing online experience. I just wanted to put everything in my basket but after taking my time admiring all the products I narrowed down to a few favourites and got straight to writing my wish list!

1. Cellularose Hydradiance Eye Contour By Terry - I have seriously dark circles under my eyes, Its not good and I'm not happy with them AT ALL. But hey ho I will continue to look for further solutions! This product looks so suitable for me I especially love the metal application tip a very nice touch!

2. C+c Vitamin Cream by Natura Bisse - Dry skin is another problem for me, This results in make up fading off my face and patchy make up does not look good! Due to the extraordinary amounts of vitamin C within this product I imagine this cream would leave my skin feeling moisturised and looking radiant as well as treating my problematic skin.

3. R & Co Dallas Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner My hair is superrrr thin! It would be such a gift to have natural big thick hair but unfortunately that is not the case. I need a product that can nourish my hair, bringing it to a better condition. This is targeted to treat thin hair and make it appear thicker so I can't argue with that!

4. Hourglass The Modernist Eyeshadow Palette in Obscure First of all how stunning is this eyeshadow palette from Hourglass! I adore brown and gold tones on my eyelids when it comes to a night out. This is literally like a dream for me! I love every colour and the packaging is lovely. I have to try this!

So what do you think guys? What would your wish list be like from the beauty section of Farfetch.com?

The Body Shop Haul

Hello everyone!

So I went on a little trip to London and whilst waiting for my train home from Euston I thought it would be a good idea to have a little splurge in The Body Shop.

Sounds shocking but I never buy anything from The Body Shop this was basically my first time having a proper look at the products. The reason I decided to do this is because the night before my friend recommended Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter. I was complaining about never feeling like my face was completely clear before bed so she let me use some of hers. Wow! I fell in love right away it really is so good! My face felt so clean and fresh afterwards! Beth definitely has good taste! I highly recommend you can check out her blog littleonee2912.

Now I am an absolute sucker for a bargain and when I see a 3 for 2 sign I cant just walk away! There was basically a little pick and mix section were I decided to go for grapefruit hand sanitiser (another suggestion from Beth), hand lotion and lip balm. Just want to point out how well the lip balm has worked for me, I didn't have any high expectations but I have been really surprised! My lips have remained smooth despite the cold dry weather.

So anyway this was a quick look at everything I got. I am still using the products and deciding what I think of them, let me know if you would like to see a full review!

What is your favourite product from The Body Shop?

A new reason to love H&M

Hi everyone!

During my fashion internship I have been recently looking up recent events so I thought I would give you all a little intake on one that stood out to me as something I plan on trying out!

H&M are non stop with an empire of womenswear, mens and kidswear and those oh so spectacular designer collaborations. Now to make things more interesting a 700-piece beauty collection!

Stepping out of their comfort zone H&M have gone all out to create a new line of products including makeup, body care, hair and even styling tools. You name it H&M are soon to have it as of October.

The range includes so many different colours and textures, the looks you could create are endless. Anything from your natural everyday look to a dramatic smoky eye and bold lip.

Hundreds of eyeshadows, lipsticks, nail polish’s and so on are soon to be available in stores and online. The brand have also made their products suitable for every skin tone by developing 20 different shades of foundation.

The company also plan on releasing a premium body care and conscious line of eco-friendly products later into the year.

We have high expectations for the new launch such as high end beauty for the high street price. High pigmented eyeshadows with no fall out and long lasting are key. The exterior of the products alone is stunning so it is unlikely you will be disappointed.

Dior Make up Collection

Hi everyone!

A few weeks ago I visited Debenhams to search for a new "going out" foundation, basically something that I could wear for a special occasion or a long night out that would stay on my face.

I was attracted to the Dior counter, I had never purchased any Dior cosmetics before so I was interested to try something new. Anyway a foundation soon turned into a massive Dior Splurge!

After using all of the products a couple of times I can now let you all know briefly what I think of them.

Dior STAR Foundation - This foundation has hollow silica beads which basically means when taking a picture with flash you will not get that harsh white bright face we all know about. I found this to be true, my skin did look nice on pictures and I did not have a white face and brown body. The coverage  you get of this foundation is also really good with an easy option to apply lightly or to build it up. For me this is a really good option as a going out foundation, purely because it stays on and looks good in pictures. The only downfall which I personally don't like is that it has a fragrance which I can smell really strongly when applying to my face. But other people may this I just personally don't.

Dior STAR Concealer - So I thought I should try out the matching concealer to my foundation. Again this concealer is made to make you look good in pictures and I can agree that it does. I found this to be a face brightening concealer more then anything it makes you look brighter and more awake. My only problem with this concealer is I have dark circles under my eyes and they are not completely covered with this concealer alone.

Dior ADDICT Lip Maximiser - The thing everyone seems to want lately is big lips! and for someone with small lips like me its not always that simple to achieve. This works to plump your lips, slightly not drastically but still looks so effective. It also has like a cool tingly feeling on your lips, not to over powering and I actually like how it feels. This is such a sheer light pink colour that it almost looks clear so I apply this over any colour lipstick and can achieve the same effect. For a more natural look it also looks nice applied on its own. It provides so much moisture and I just love it! This is definitely one of my favourite products at the minute.

Dior Rosy Glow Blush - This is supposed to be a blush that changes to suit every individuals complexion. When you first apply it always apply lightly because the colour develops from a light natural colour into a rosy blush. This blush is lovely and really gives off a natural healthy look but I must admit I feel hesitant to apply because I know the colour is going to change. I don't want to walk out for the colour to change and be to much. I am always super careful when trying to get it just right so less is more with this blush I would say.

Dior VERNIS Couture and VERNIS top coat nail lacquer - I got this as a free gift after my purchases. I love how easy this is to apply, I love how it looks at first really looks like a shellac manicure. Sadly it chipped really quickly seriously within the first day It was chipped and I was careful so for such an expensive nail polish I wouldn't expect that. Like I said lovely at first but I would never want to go out and spend £18.50 for the full size after the results.

I was invited back to visit the Dior counter at Debenhams for a free mini makeover and to receive a gift. So a few days ago I went back in for a lovely makeover where I learnt some tips and tricks when it comes to applying my foundation and contouring. My make up artist used a sponge on my face called Backstage Blender (similar to beauty blender) to apply my Dior STAR foundation. I found that this blender worked perfectly! So I couldn't help but purchase one! They cost £12 and to wash all you have to do is put it into the washing machine!

The Free gifts I received were:-

Dior Show Mascara
Dior Prestige Serum
Dior Prestige Satin Revitalising Creme
Dior Satin Revitalising Eye Creme
Sample Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet

Yet to try any of these but what a lovely gift to recieve!

Over all I am a big fan of Dior Products. I really want to try out some more but after my splurge I am going to need to save up before I can.. Oops!

Have you ever used these products before?

What is your favourite Dior product?

Thanks again for reading!

NAKED on the Run

Hello everyone!

So I am going on holiday soon but I really need to pack lightly! I wanted to try out a few different make up options so I could decide what to take with me. After routing threw my make up drew I found Urban Decay NAKED on the Run Pallet. I don't know how I managed to forget I had this!

As you can see straight away the packaging is absolutely beautiful! The pallet has a really strong plastic box with rose gold detail around the sides. If you have read my Rose Gold Wishlist you will understand how much I love all things Rose Gold.

When I opened the pallet the first thing I noticed was the HUGE mirror. You can also stand the mirror up and it will not move out of place this makes it perfect for clearly applying all the products and ideal for traveling.

Now for the products... for anyone familiar with Urban Decay you must know that the brand does not disappoint especially when it comes to presentation. Inside the pallet you get mascara, eyeliner, lipgloss, eyeshadows, bronzer, blush and highlighter all put nicely together.

There are 5 eyeshadows that all have different finishes to them, some creating a metallic/shimmer effect and others matte. We all know Urban Decay have AMAZING eyeshadows because of the huge success of the Naked pallets. They are really pigmented, do not have bad fall out, do not crease and paired with eyeshadow primer they last all day! I cannot complain when it comes to using these eyeshadows.

When it comes to bronzer and blusher they are super pigmented! Orange toned bronzer and hot pink blush do not mix but I have found just applying a small amount can look nice. The actually application of the product is easy and smooth. Overall I would of preferred different colours as it does seem like more of an effort being super careful not to apply to much.

The highlighter is a beautiful shade that works well to highlight every part of your face from your brow bone to cheek bone. It completes the look and adds a really nice finish.

You also get a mini version of perversion mascara, when I say mini its not really that small its just skinnier and a little shorter then the original. The applicator brush is the exact same so overall you will achieve the same effect. Not going to lie I am not a huge fan, its not a bad mascara but I just don't think it gives my eyelashes much curl and volume compared to others.

The 24/7 Glide on pencil comes in a deep brown colour that looks almost black. I don't usually use pencil eyeliner but I enjoyed using this one there is kind of a soft feel to it compared to others and I found it was easy to apply.

Onto lipgloss... again the packaging to Naked lipgloss is beautiful! The lipgloss is very sheer so it works well complimenting lipstick or if you wanted a more simple look you could even use this alone. Be aware the texture is really thick and gooey which may not suit to some people, at first I was not fussed but now I have grown to like it more and more.

_______________________

I am not 100% sure if I am going to be taking this with me. I do think it is great for travelling I'm just really undecided on what to choose and as you can see I have mixed feelings. I plan on uploading a blog post on what I take with me so keep checking back if you would like to see.

Any make up suggestions for my holiday?

Have you ever used NAKED on the Run?

Thank you for reading

Being a new Blogger

Hello everyone!

So now that I have been blogging for just over a month I thought I would share my experience with you. Hopefully this blog will be relatable to others or if you are think about starting a blog I might be able to give you some ideas on what it is like and offer any helpful advice to other new bloggers.

For years I have found myself looking at other blogs for reviews along with everything else, and for years I have been telling myself I really want to do that! and finally I have started!

Here is what I have learnt:

1. Blogging is a great place to meet other like minded people

The blogging community is a great community to be a part of, you meet new people and everyone is friendly and so supportive of each other.

2. Setting up your blog might feel slightly scary you might think to yourself "What is people don't like it? Who will even read it? What if I am no good at it?"

My advice to myself and any new bloggers is if you never try then you will never know, it might be hard at first when you think of judgemental people but try to block it out. If your happy then that is whats important so don't ever hold yourself back! Also if you enjoy blogging then I guarantee you will be good at it!

3. It is exciting when someone leaves positive comments

I remember my first few comments, I would refresh my page to see a comment and feel so happy that someone had actually taken time to read my post and leave some feedback! It feels great knowing you have offered advice that has helped others!

4. The double excitement when someone follows you

It feels amazing! Knowing someone likes your blog enough to want to follow you. It's not all about numbers, anything from 5-5000 followers it is just enough to know that people enjoy your blog and thats one of the reasons I like doing it.

5. Page views

Refresh, refresh, refresh! Always refreshing and when you see people from all across the world are coming across your blog its crazy and hard to believe!

6. Staying positive

I don't get disheartened if nobody comments or my page views are not high and others shouldn't either. Remember why you are created a blog! If you enjoy it then when others view, comment and follow then this is just a great bonus to creating a blog.

7. Looking forward to posting

I look forward to my next post. Some people say it can be a chore but I think if it feels like a chore then you shouldn't really be doing it. Sure sometimes it can be hard with Uni and work but when I have time to post I definitely enjoy it!

8. A small note pad becomes essential

Honestly I carry a small note pad and pen in my bag now! Because ideas come up at the most random times! Its a great idea and really helps being able to write it down and then look back later on.

Finally I just want to say a HUGE thank you for everyones support! It feels great knowing you enjoy reading and I will continue to enjoy blogging!

I hope this have helped! Can you relate to this?

Ellie
