Dior Make up Collection

Hi everyone!

A few weeks ago I visited Debenhams to search for a new "going out" foundation, basically something that I could wear for a special occasion or a long night out that would stay on my face.

I was attracted to the Dior counter, I had never purchased any Dior cosmetics before so I was interested to try something new. Anyway a foundation soon turned into a massive Dior Splurge!

After using all of the products a couple of times I can now let you all know briefly what I think of them.

Dior STAR Foundation - This foundation has hollow silica beads which basically means when taking a picture with flash you will not get that harsh white bright face we all know about. I found this to be true, my skin did look nice on pictures and I did not have a white face and brown body. The coverage  you get of this foundation is also really good with an easy option to apply lightly or to build it up. For me this is a really good option as a going out foundation, purely because it stays on and looks good in pictures. The only downfall which I personally don't like is that it has a fragrance which I can smell really strongly when applying to my face. But other people may this I just personally don't.

Dior STAR Concealer - So I thought I should try out the matching concealer to my foundation. Again this concealer is made to make you look good in pictures and I can agree that it does. I found this to be a face brightening concealer more then anything it makes you look brighter and more awake. My only problem with this concealer is I have dark circles under my eyes and they are not completely covered with this concealer alone.

Dior ADDICT Lip Maximiser - The thing everyone seems to want lately is big lips! and for someone with small lips like me its not always that simple to achieve. This works to plump your lips, slightly not drastically but still looks so effective. It also has like a cool tingly feeling on your lips, not to over powering and I actually like how it feels. This is such a sheer light pink colour that it almost looks clear so I apply this over any colour lipstick and can achieve the same effect. For a more natural look it also looks nice applied on its own. It provides so much moisture and I just love it! This is definitely one of my favourite products at the minute.

Dior Rosy Glow Blush - This is supposed to be a blush that changes to suit every individuals complexion. When you first apply it always apply lightly because the colour develops from a light natural colour into a rosy blush. This blush is lovely and really gives off a natural healthy look but I must admit I feel hesitant to apply because I know the colour is going to change. I don't want to walk out for the colour to change and be to much. I am always super careful when trying to get it just right so less is more with this blush I would say.

Dior VERNIS Couture and VERNIS top coat nail lacquer - I got this as a free gift after my purchases. I love how easy this is to apply, I love how it looks at first really looks like a shellac manicure. Sadly it chipped really quickly seriously within the first day It was chipped and I was careful so for such an expensive nail polish I wouldn't expect that. Like I said lovely at first but I would never want to go out and spend £18.50 for the full size after the results.

I was invited back to visit the Dior counter at Debenhams for a free mini makeover and to receive a gift. So a few days ago I went back in for a lovely makeover where I learnt some tips and tricks when it comes to applying my foundation and contouring. My make up artist used a sponge on my face called Backstage Blender (similar to beauty blender) to apply my Dior STAR foundation. I found that this blender worked perfectly! So I couldn't help but purchase one! They cost £12 and to wash all you have to do is put it into the washing machine!

The Free gifts I received were:-

Dior Show Mascara
Dior Prestige Serum
Dior Prestige Satin Revitalising Creme
Dior Satin Revitalising Eye Creme
Sample Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet

Yet to try any of these but what a lovely gift to recieve!

Over all I am a big fan of Dior Products. I really want to try out some more but after my splurge I am going to need to save up before I can.. Oops!

Have you ever used these products before?

What is your favourite Dior product?

Thanks again for reading!

Trip To Menorca

Hello everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while been really busy and also went on holiday so wanted to just stay away from social media for a while so I could just relax and enjoy it.

I say holiday I actually went to visit my best friend who has moved to Menorca to become a holiday rep. Absolutely loved catching up with her after what felt like forever! It was also nice seeing where she lives and getting to know people who live and work with her.

Just want to say that Menorca is absolutely beautiful! The area I stayed in was called Cala'n forcat. Although the area seems to be targeted more towards children and maybe couples we still found a lot to do. The picture above is some cliffs where tourists and locals could go to sunbathe and swim. It really is stunning and a must do again if I ever go back.

Although there was not many places to go out and club there was a place called Jimmy Hills bar which is a really good bar to go for a few drinks and have a good night out. They also have entertainment around the bar such as One Direction and Take That tribute bands.

Another place we visited was Casas del Lago Hotel & Beach Club in Carla'n Bosch which was probably my favourite place. This is adults only and is a gorgeous place to relax. Everything is just set out beautifully, they also play really relaxing music so everyone just ended up falling asleep in the sun. If you ever go remember to put sun cream on so you don't burn because it is so easy to fall asleep here. There is also a Bar/Restaurant that serves lovely food and drink. This is a good option if you travel as a couple and just want to take a break.

Soo.. to finish off I had a really nice time in Menorca. It is a beautiful place to go and visit and is most ideal for young families and couples.

Just want to apologise again for not posting in a while. I will be posting more often and plan on future packing posts. I am going to try and go back to and visit my friend again before I go back to University! So hopefully more pictures to come!

What do you think of Menorca?

Thank you for reading

NAKED on the Run

Hello everyone!

So I am going on holiday soon but I really need to pack lightly! I wanted to try out a few different make up options so I could decide what to take with me. After routing threw my make up drew I found Urban Decay NAKED on the Run Pallet. I don't know how I managed to forget I had this!

As you can see straight away the packaging is absolutely beautiful! The pallet has a really strong plastic box with rose gold detail around the sides. If you have read my Rose Gold Wishlist you will understand how much I love all things Rose Gold.

When I opened the pallet the first thing I noticed was the HUGE mirror. You can also stand the mirror up and it will not move out of place this makes it perfect for clearly applying all the products and ideal for traveling.

Now for the products... for anyone familiar with Urban Decay you must know that the brand does not disappoint especially when it comes to presentation. Inside the pallet you get mascara, eyeliner, lipgloss, eyeshadows, bronzer, blush and highlighter all put nicely together.

There are 5 eyeshadows that all have different finishes to them, some creating a metallic/shimmer effect and others matte. We all know Urban Decay have AMAZING eyeshadows because of the huge success of the Naked pallets. They are really pigmented, do not have bad fall out, do not crease and paired with eyeshadow primer they last all day! I cannot complain when it comes to using these eyeshadows.

When it comes to bronzer and blusher they are super pigmented! Orange toned bronzer and hot pink blush do not mix but I have found just applying a small amount can look nice. The actually application of the product is easy and smooth. Overall I would of preferred different colours as it does seem like more of an effort being super careful not to apply to much.

The highlighter is a beautiful shade that works well to highlight every part of your face from your brow bone to cheek bone. It completes the look and adds a really nice finish.

You also get a mini version of perversion mascara, when I say mini its not really that small its just skinnier and a little shorter then the original. The applicator brush is the exact same so overall you will achieve the same effect. Not going to lie I am not a huge fan, its not a bad mascara but I just don't think it gives my eyelashes much curl and volume compared to others.

The 24/7 Glide on pencil comes in a deep brown colour that looks almost black. I don't usually use pencil eyeliner but I enjoyed using this one there is kind of a soft feel to it compared to others and I found it was easy to apply.

Onto lipgloss... again the packaging to Naked lipgloss is beautiful! The lipgloss is very sheer so it works well complimenting lipstick or if you wanted a more simple look you could even use this alone. Be aware the texture is really thick and gooey which may not suit to some people, at first I was not fussed but now I have grown to like it more and more.

_______________________

I am not 100% sure if I am going to be taking this with me. I do think it is great for travelling I'm just really undecided on what to choose and as you can see I have mixed feelings. I plan on uploading a blog post on what I take with me so keep checking back if you would like to see.

Any make up suggestions for my holiday?

Have you ever used NAKED on the Run?

Thank you for reading

Being a new Blogger

Hello everyone!

So now that I have been blogging for just over a month I thought I would share my experience with you. Hopefully this blog will be relatable to others or if you are think about starting a blog I might be able to give you some ideas on what it is like and offer any helpful advice to other new bloggers.

For years I have found myself looking at other blogs for reviews along with everything else, and for years I have been telling myself I really want to do that! and finally I have started!

Here is what I have learnt:

1. Blogging is a great place to meet other like minded people

The blogging community is a great community to be a part of, you meet new people and everyone is friendly and so supportive of each other.

2. Setting up your blog might feel slightly scary you might think to yourself "What is people don't like it? Who will even read it? What if I am no good at it?"

My advice to myself and any new bloggers is if you never try then you will never know, it might be hard at first when you think of judgemental people but try to block it out. If your happy then that is whats important so don't ever hold yourself back! Also if you enjoy blogging then I guarantee you will be good at it!

3. It is exciting when someone leaves positive comments

I remember my first few comments, I would refresh my page to see a comment and feel so happy that someone had actually taken time to read my post and leave some feedback! It feels great knowing you have offered advice that has helped others!

4. The double excitement when someone follows you

It feels amazing! Knowing someone likes your blog enough to want to follow you. It's not all about numbers, anything from 5-5000 followers it is just enough to know that people enjoy your blog and thats one of the reasons I like doing it.

5. Page views

Refresh, refresh, refresh! Always refreshing and when you see people from all across the world are coming across your blog its crazy and hard to believe!

6. Staying positive

I don't get disheartened if nobody comments or my page views are not high and others shouldn't either. Remember why you are created a blog! If you enjoy it then when others view, comment and follow then this is just a great bonus to creating a blog.

7. Looking forward to posting

I look forward to my next post. Some people say it can be a chore but I think if it feels like a chore then you shouldn't really be doing it. Sure sometimes it can be hard with Uni and work but when I have time to post I definitely enjoy it!

8. A small note pad becomes essential

Honestly I carry a small note pad and pen in my bag now! Because ideas come up at the most random times! Its a great idea and really helps being able to write it down and then look back later on.

Finally I just want to say a HUGE thank you for everyones support! It feels great knowing you enjoy reading and I will continue to enjoy blogging!

I hope this have helped! Can you relate to this?

A kick start for a Healthy Lifestyle

Recently I have chosen to stop being as lazy and start a new healthier lifestyle.
I used to dance all the time but since starting uni and having a part time job it was hard balancing everything. Anyway I decided its time I started concentrating on involving fitness and healthy eating  within my daily routine.

Whilst searching online I decided to have a look at Holland and Barrett.
There was a penny sale on so basically I bought one product and got the other one for a penny. So worth it! The penny sale is still on at the moment so if you go to their website you can have a look at all the differant items available. I purchased these products for a kick start because I have heard a lot of great things about them.

Most people have heard about green tea and all the benefits you gain from drinking it. Shocking to some I don't drink tea, most of my friends constantly drink tea but the only time I've ever had tea is if I'm dipping biscuits in it. Not saying I would never try green tea, I might  really like it but when I noticed the Super green tea tablets I thought they where deffinetly worth a try.

Along with healthy eating and exercise these tablets work perfectly! I drink a full glass of water twice a day for best results! I believe that they really give me a boost without needing to drink a lot of tea like I know most people do. So if you want to try green tea but don't like how it tastes then you should definitely give this a try.

I chose to purchase Aloe Vera Juice in the flavour cranberry. I love cranberry juice so I was instantly attracted. You can buy an unflavoured version but I personally prefer this. I have been drinking Aloe Vera juice for just over a month and I have noticed such a difference! I feel better in myself, I have more energy and my hair and skin probably looks the so healthy! This is something I will be purchasing again!

You can choose to either mix a table spoon with a glass of water or just have a spoon full alone, it is recommended to do this 1-3 times a day.

One of the reasons I get excited to go the gym is because I can wear my Nike Roshe trainers. That might sound stupid but they are new and I love new shoes! Plus they are so comfortable and I feel like I am making use out of them by wearing them for the gym. I chose to go with black, just a small hint of grey because they looked a little different. They go with everything! So whatever I wear for the gym I know I can slip these on and they will always look good!

Have you tried any of the above?

Let me know what you think in the comments! :)

The Rose Gold Wishlist

I never realised how huge my love is for all things rose gold until I started writing this blog post!
I just love the colour I think it is the perfect combination of girly, classy and sophisticated all put together to create one stunning colour.

I have been having a little browse online and wanting to purchase so many things along the way however I came across a few favourites. No way am I saying I can afford every item right now (student/part time worker problems) but they are defiantly things I would be interested in saving up for or just things I think look pretty :)

A lot of you have probably came across these brushes before now, I have seen them so many times and I am so tempted to purchase them! To be fair compared to other make up brushes out there The Zoeva sets I would say are more affordable! Pricing at 70 euros so around £50 english pounds or $76 U S Dollars (according to google).

They are possibly the most stunning make up brushes ever! I am only slightly hesitant to buy them just incase the quality is not as good as the brushes appear but fingers crossed! If these make up brushes are half as impressive as they look then I can definitely see them becoming a new favourite of mine.

If I do decide to purchase Zoeva brushes I will 100% let you all know what I think of them!

I absolutely LOVE these headphones!

I have never been a fan of over head headphones, they always seem to look bulky and manly and I would never consider wearing them outside of my bedroom. But Frends Layla headphones are completely different to any others that I have ever came across. They look so stylish and comfortable to wear and would be so perfect for travelling! I really do think I would use them a lot if I ever do purchase them. I really would like to own a pair, I literally had them in my basket and was about to buy them a few months ago but I just felt to guilty spending so much on headphones but at the same time I could imagine them to be worth it!

By the way there is currently a 20% discount up until 1st May 2015. So what better time to buy them if you can! Simply go to www.wearefrends.com and enter code: SPRINGFLOWERS

If I do end up purchasing these there will certainly be a blog post up within a couple of days! So I can let you all know if they are worth the money!

I have always been a fan of ghd hair straighteners because they last so long and never fail to disappoint. If I towel dry my hair it is a cross between frizzy, curly, wavy and straight but ghd hair straighteners do the perfect job at taming my crazy hair.

Naturally when I discovered ghd have created their iconic hair straighteners in rose gold I adored them right away.  I could probably do with an update and these are looking like a good option.

___________________________________

So at the minute these are for sure my favourite items when it comes to rose gold and they are all absolutly stunning, I wish I could purchase every one of them! If I do buy any of the above items I will keep you all informed!

I hope this has helped any of you rose gold lovers! Maybe you have even found your next purchase?

Have you used any of these items before?

Thank you for reading!
