Barry M Spring shades nail varnish collection

Hello everyone!

So seeing as we are officially in Spring (although the British weather does not seem to agree... Freezing!) I thought it would be a great idea to have a look into my nail varnish collection and search for the perfect Spring shades.

I realised I have Sooo... many of the Barry M nail paints. I think this is because they are such good value for money selling at around £3.99 each, I believe they are just as good if not better then some of the more expensive nail paints out there. Barry M also sell such a wide variety of colours if you are searching for a pink nail varnish define pink! Barry M must have about a dozen maybe even more different shades of pink so it is hard not to want to collect and try them all.
I find Barry M nail paints to be kind off a hit-and-miss sometimes, the majority of the time the formulas are very easy to apply and have a professional finish, my friends have sometimes mistaken my nail varnish for shellac because it looks so nice. Unfortunately I have purchased a few that have been gooey and not as easy to apply I find that this is mostly in the darker shades within the gelly nail paint range. Overall I do love Barry M nail paints and I find all the colours listed in this blog post to be easy to apply and they all have a lovely finish to them! :)

Please excuse my awkward hands and nail painting skills sorryyyy... Here I have chosen a mixture of the Barry M Gelly Hi-shine nail paint and Barry M silk nail paint.

If you are a lover of the Barry M nail paints like me then the Gelly high shine nail paints are an absolute must! The polish's claim to give you an "extra glossy finish" and I 100% agree that they do just that. I have had so many compliments from wearing these nail polish's they really do make my nails look like they have been done in a salon! The pastels in particular apply easily to my nails with absolutely no streaks! They are also so pigmented! I prefer to coat my nails twice with the polish however you could defiantly achieve a professional look with just one coat!

The Barry M silk nail paint also gives a lovely effect with a soft matte finish but still a lovely slight shimmer. Contrasting to the gelly nail paint the formula seems to be quite thin so I would recommend  building up coats until achieving the perfect look. The quality of these nail polish's is amazing and although giving off a slight frosty finish I believe these colours would look so nice during the spring.

Although it was a tough decision to choose a favourite the Barry M Gelly nail paint in Dragon Fruit has to be the winner for me. Its just such a lovely shade of pink for the Spring not to light and not to dark just the perfect in between shade. The narrow dense brush just made the nail paint super easy to apply and the finish is just so pretty and shiny. I used two coats to achieve this colour but if you was going for a lighter colour one coat would do the trick!

For the best results don't forget to use a Top and Base coat!

Sensitive skin say YES to cucumbers!

A while ago, I heard about the brand 'Yes to carrots' whilst browsing online. Through looking into the brand further I came across their range 'Yes to cucumbers'. The range has received so much positive feedback that I found it impossible not to want to try it for myself.

The brand uses all natural products such as Organic cucumbers, Green tea and Aloe Vera. The products are also Petroleum, SLS and Paraben free as well as Cruelty free. Basically a really cool organic company :)

I received a £10 boots gift card at christmas, how I did not spend my gift card until now? I do not know. Anyway I finally decided to go into boots and spend it on the Yes to cucumbers products. The products I decided to try out were the Yes to cucumbers hypoallergenic facial towelettes and the Yes to cucumbers daily gel cleanser.

For starters how cute is the packaging of this product! Its just such a simple design yet it manages to really stand out on the shelves and looks so pretty. The first amazing thing about these facial wipes is the smell! Oh my god, it is so lovely! even before using the wipes it gives off a clean effect in itself. The only way I can describe it is fresh like cucumbers.. Ironic? The wipes are also incredibly soft, and even though they are so soft they still manage to easily remove any face make up with no hesitation. The only thing I have trouble with is removing mascara,  I always find it hard to remove mascara and find myself looking for a million different ways to get it completely off.

To sum these make up wipes up I REALLY like them. My skin feels fresh and clean after using them, There is also a kind off cold sense on my face its as if the wipes have been in a fridge before being opened, I find this really nice as it makes them feel just that extra bit fresh against skin.

Moving on ... At first I was slightly hesitant to buy this because it did not stand out to me as much as other products. However it was the last one on the shelf.. so I couldn't not buy it! My first opinion was once again the smell of it, wow. I can see Yes to cucumber becoming one of my favourite ranges just because I love the smell so much. The actual product is very watery, and in my hands it felt like it wasn't going to last very long before the whole thing was used up. However I was wrong, a little bit of this product goes a long way.

I suffer from sensitive skin and so far this cleanser has worked perfect for me. It does not give me break outs it gives my skin a deep clean and leaves my face feeling super smooth. This product for me works best when I apply my moisturiser after use, the moisturiser I am currently using is Simple hydrating light moisturiser (another sensitive skin friendly product). I will defiantly be purchasing this cleanser again once I have ran out!

I want to try out some more Yes to products and I plan on writing some future reviews on the range. Let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions on what to try next?

A picture speaks a thousand words

Seeing as I am new to the blogging scene and this is my first post, I am going to begin by giving you an idea of what my blog is going to be about. Simply I intend to make a fun blog about fashion trends, projects, beauty and skin care reviews and just generally my own opinions on well anything and everything? I see myself as a very creative person and that is what I want to show on my blog! :) I thought the best way to introduce myself to the blogging world would be by posting a few Instagram photographs that show my interests.

University fashion projects, Summer holidays, Gorgeous smelling perfume, Photography and Pretty nails with a ring. Yes I would say this collage pretty much sums me up. (Although I do love my hair, make up and skin care that is all to come in my blog!)
